greenhouse My new dodgy pseudo greenhouses

I wanted to protect my birdseye plants over the cooler months and came upon the following dodgy solution.

Needed.
1. Roll of dog wire
2. huge roll of cling wrap
3. pliers
4. tent pegs

First I cut the roll into a good length and then joined it together. Next lay it down and roll cling wrap around the frame.

Lastly mulch the garden and place the dodgy device around the plant. Secure to ground with tent pegs.

thats a great idea...I make my tomato cages out of the same wire you are using...never thought of making a "greenhouse" out of them...great idea

Yea I agree that is a good idea. You can also place milk jugs filled with hot water inside on really cold nights. I hope they work well for you.

probably wont retain heat if you leave the tops open...

Will you cling wrap the top?

I'm considering it, I still have some of the wire roll left. It wouldn't take much to flatten it out and put some cling wrap over it.

It's all experimenting at the moment.
