My shopping trip today.

I decided that it was time for me to use the gift card that my brother-in-law got me for Christmas so I went to Le Gourmet Chef not knowing what I was going to buy. After perusing the store for a while and almost buying some habanero oil and a few hot sauces, I found what I wanted. A new wok. Well, that started my on a mission. Next, I had to go to the Asian food store a few miles away, and then to the grocery store for more things. Here are some pics of my haul. I left out the groceries, but you can expect a stirfry in the near future to show what I got.

Pictured are oyster sauce, Mae Ploy, hoisin sauce, coconut milk, duck sauce, a scotch bonnet sauce, and an Australian sauce called Barrier Reef chili lime sauce.

Finally, a 5lb bag of Jasmine rice I got for $5.

good choices JayT....good choices...and don't forget, you can use the wok for fajita meat too...speaking of which...that is what Mrs AJ and myself are having for our afternoon/evening meal...will be in the drunken chef thread..

$20. Probably just a cheap one, but it looks like it will do the job. I had a cheap one before that lasted me the five years I had it. I apparently lost it in a breakup, but that is another story altogether. Yeah, AJ I have made fajitas in a wok before, though I think I prefer my cast iron for that. Next I have to get me a rice steamer. I think this week I will be making curried shrimp and a chicken or pork stir-fry. One of them coming today.

sweet buy  you should of bought some mung bean noodles & fried them up.
I love stir frys !
that grace hot sauce is very tasty not very hot but tasty!

I tried it, but it is VERY vinegary. Can't beat the price though. They had it at a local discount store for 3/$1!!!

when I had it about year ago I didnt think it was too vinegary, no different than most hot sauces on the market. or it could of been the batch (one I tried vs one you tried ?)
