The genetics suggest you wouldn't get an orange F1 when outcrossing a stabilized red reaper, though I wouldn't profess to know everything that can happen and certain orange peppers in particular can have some tricks up their sleeves. An unstable red reaper mother could certainly produce an orange F1 though, as red pods can hide various recessive alleles.
Some of the pod's look a lot like orange hab's, while the tops of other have a scotch bonnet look. Any chance the mother reaper could have already been hybridized with something and hiding recessives?
