Mystery Italian Chilli

Hi guys,

My mate works with an elderly Italian bloke who gave him some peppers brought back from the Old Country. They are small and reportedly fairly hot. They are just reddening now, will have the pleasure fairly soon :fireball: The fruit is globular as per the photos, halfway between a marble and a golfball I guess is the best way to describe them.

If anyone has a rough idea, that would be great :

it looks to be the common cherry pepper used for stuffing
they have an awesome recipe where they use this one

i dont know how they do it

but the peppers are cored cut on top seeds and placenta removeve then suffed with procuito ham and provalone cheese, they are pickled in a brine of salt, vinegar and olive oil along with italian spices and garlic

i love um but there quite expensive there like almost $13.00 a pound

hope this helps some

thanks your friend Joe
