Hi I am from Northern Cali and have been thinking of growing the Ghost pepper for a few years and finally got some
Trinidad Scorpion Pepper (Butch T) from Ebay from a guy in FL. started them in Jan and I got some Red Ghost seeds a few months ago.
I have 4 TS, 2 I just potted in 3 gal pots and two are still in 1 LT pots, I am low on soil for a few more weeks. The Ghost are about 3" tall now and just re-potted 4 of them,
into 5 1/2 pots or 1tl, and 2 into 4" pots. The TS and Ghost will stay in my small Green house with all my other peppers in the garden. about 40 or so Bell and Anaheim mostly with a few
Habanero's and others.
The TS are looking good just not flowering yet and the flowers are hard to see and just fall off?? My Soil might be part of the problem , maybe to rich for them as it's
got a bit over 50% compost or like most I watering to much LOL Yes I have been reading. The only thing that has got me is one Habanero this winter flowered at
30 days old and set 5 peppers then after that hasn't set any more, I just re-potted it out side in a 100 Gal Felt pot with three Squash seedlings, I am doing a lot of
Companion planting this year.
I hope to over winter at lest one of the TS and G peppers so keeping them in the GH and would like to keep them in 3 to 6 gl pots, or take cuttings and put the cutting under lights in the winter.
So my big Q should I feed the peppers with PK nuts, or just give them more time to grow and flower?
