Naga In Your Food

Friends,

Let us discuss how we consume Naga/Bhut/Bih jolokias in this thread.

As for me, my typical breakfast is as under.

Bread/toast with one side having cheese smeared with Naga Chutney (not sweet) pickle and the other side loaded with home made Hot salsa.

When i have freah pods they tend to get used in a lot of things i am cooking/making and when i haven't any pods i only use naga based sauces on occasion in between using other variety based sauces as well.

Oh yeah, naga paste goes really well in pies :D

Naga toast for breakfast? Now that is serious eats!

yes, this is my typical breakfast without any change for the last two years.

Once in a way, I apply Jam on one side and Naga Chutney on the other.

That'd sure wake you up!

I used all my pods to make sauce and powder. (Which, as Quad mentioned, goes into and on to just about everything that doesn't move.) I didn't think about using them fresh till it was too late.

wake me up? More than that buddy.
It is like doing a stiff double scotch on rocks bottoms up .
Keeps me on high till lunch.
Then either Thai or Naga comes to my rescue at lunch time.

Dinner time is another story.!!

I dont know how your stomach holds up to that everyday.

To be honest, I was born in a chilli pepper wholesale market in Madras in South India.
The first breath I breathed, had capsacin contained in air since it was high season of chillies.

May be this is the reason why I can eat this hot pickles, sauces etc. But mind you this tolerance is built up over the years of love affair with chilli peppers of varied heat.

Ps.

people back home where I come from will still consider me a junior player because, they can damn bloody eat too much of hot peppers. Their daily sauces are so fiery, that you can't drink a cup of it.
