Nagabon

Looking for NB- anybody got some seeds? Anyone give me a description of it's characteristics please. I mean all, growing, taste, requirements, water, difficulty level- blah de blah.

The only place I have seen those is at the hippy seed company. Take a look at their site. There should be a video review for it.

Looking for NB- anybody got some seeds? Anyone give me a description of it's characteristics please. I mean all, growing, taste, requirements, water, difficulty level- blah de blah.

Growing - NagaBons like it warm and a little dry, with good Daylight CFL bulbs (200W equiv.) and maybe 1/4 or 1/5 softwhite (100W equiv.). Good, arable soil with medium-high nitrogen and phosphorus, high calcium/magnesium, low potassium for vegetative stage (so you don't get too many early blooms :) ).

Taste - Somewhere on the boundary near Congo Trinidads or other similar C.Chinense, such as Scorpions, Nagas, 7-Pots, etc. Not as much heat, I'd put them around Fatali level (~500,000 SHU), not bitter, but not all that sweet. Really fresh almost perfumy flavor, thick-walled and juicy pods with high water content, a bit tangy, really nice. I love them, and am growing them this year.

Requirements - I'll address germination here. Use a heating mat with a container. I bought a Hydrofarm "Germination Station" on Amazon for like $25 and it works amazingly for pepper seed germination. NagaBons were a success for me this year, really loving the environment inside that unit.

Water - As with most C.Chinense, NagaBons don't like a ton of water. Only water maybe twice a week, and look for early signs of wilting, and if there is, water right away.

Difficulty level - My NagaBon plants have been some of the easier plants for me to work with in just my second year growing chilies. They love being "topped", where you clip the top sets of leaves/early flower buds once the plant is about 4-6 inches tall. It really bushes out once you do that, and the leaves for this get HUGE quickly! I'd put it at about a 4 for difficulty, since you do need a bit of startup material to get them in a comfort zone in the germination/early stages of plant growth. Once that is taken care of, they are reasonably "hands off", and need only periodic care.

I have some. PM your addy. Have anything to trade ?

I sent you those, right Sean? They're great seeds!
