Nagasco... so far

Last year I bought a Naga Morich plant and saved the largest pod as a seed source for this grow season. The offspring turned out to be hybridized, not true Naga Morich. They look sort of like large Tabasco peppers and this is a possible parent. They are fruity in flavor like a Naga Morich and juicy like a Tabasco. I'd like to offer seed from this plant if you want to experiment. All I ask is that you pay the cost to get it to you (or make a seed trade instead), that you post pictures on THP if you grow it out and re-share the seed afterwards.

Below are some pics, let me know if you're interested.

Cool, very similar to a Dorset x Tabasco that came from my garden a couple of years ago. Mine look more like Tabasco's wheras yours are more morich shaped. Are you going to try and stabilise these?

id love a shot at growing that out. i have a 5-6ft tall tabasco plant right now with a stem ~1" thick... i had to stop picking pods from it because it is too time consumeing. there's another 4 or 5 months of growing left here in houston so i think i could give it a good shot.

do you have a paypall account?

edit: and yea i have a naga morich growing too so i could cross again if its necessary.

That's awsome; maybe even better than orange 7's :P!!! Keep growing them and someday you can sell seed. I'd love to experiment with them, but that would happen next season.

I would like to stabilize this, but I am worried I will not have the space/time/determination to do so.

I haven't eaten a whole lot of fresh really hot peppers so I can't place the heat level too precisely. While it does have some kick, it's fruity flavor and juiciness are my favorite qualities. I'll try to get some fresh pods to those interested in tasting.

Once the larger 2-inch pods start ripening I'll post some pics and start sending out seed or pods for whoever wants to give this a go. I'll use this thread as my interested party list, so if you want some seed/pods, just leave a comment.

I also would love to try to grow this out and/ or taste a fresh pod, I also have both tobasco and naga morich growing this season as well as 30 or so other varieties, this is my first year growing so I wanted to try as many as possible, they are all growing in my backyard so I think i might end up w/ some interesting crosses also, I guess I'll have to wait till next season to find out though

I can send some pods, but I'm finding they don't travel well, they get mushy by the time they arrive. It seems they go from ripe to overripe very quickly, so probably not a good commercial pepper for the fresh market, but maybe something for the hobby grower. I'm waiting for some larger pods positioned away from it's neighbor plants to ripen to collect and send seed... Just PM if you want to work something out, if I'm not responding right away it's because I don't have any immanently ripe pods to send... I'll get back to you when the time is ripe.

Okay, I have enough seed from these open pollinated peppers drying to send to the 9 or so people who expressed an interest. If you haven't already, just PM me your address.

I'll just consolidate the list of seed sent as they go out in one post:
