Need Help, First Time Growing Peppers

This is my first time growing peppers, I am growing cayenne and jalapeno peppers. I do not know what the stages are, but they flowered and then turned brown, I am not sure if it is dying or this is normal. Here are some pictures.

:welcome: to the fourm from TN!! Could it be a pepper growing in behind it is pushing it out of the way? I'm a first time grower as well, lots on here that will know for sure.

Cayenne and jalapenos grow very well. Brown flowers means pod development. Shoot some clearer pics of the flowers in order to help you out.

some better pics would definately help, but one thing i can see right away is that the whole plant looks wet. try watering just the soil and not the whole plant.. its better overall for the plant health.

If that's the flower that's brown, then it just means it was pollinated and there's a pod in development.
