Need help with a dorm room project

Hello, all.

Being stuck up here in a teeny town (Cumberland Gap) with no access to fresh peppers, I'm going to attempt to grow some plants in my dorm room next semester (which begins around Jan. 7)

I'd like to heat up the med school, if you know what I mean.

I would like to acquire some choc. habs (or other another interesting variety of hab) and a few naga/bhut seeds. I'm willing to pay whatever, and trust you guys to know better sources of higher quality.

As I'm in a dorm room the size of a hotel room (the dorm is actually a remodeled Ramada Inn) I'm more interesting in a few seeds that are viable than alot of seeds that I'll end up wasting (waste not, want not)

I appreciate any guidance / assistance you can offer.

Josh.

What direction does your window face?

Go with the Naga rather than the Bhut. They produce more pods. You also might want to look into a small but very hot variety like Hinklehatz or one of the piquins. Chocolate habs can be large, rangy plants, you might want to consider one of the more compact varieties like Burkina Yellow, Cumari, or Red Habanero. Potawie kicks ass on growing in containers, too, so maybe ask him what varieties he thinks would do well in limited space.

Are you using lights or just a window?
I grow in containers but I've never really been limited by space. I think the White bullet(or ammo) would be good and I've never had a problem with chocolate habs but there are many kinds. I have a virtually unknown variety called chocolate madagascar which is growing quite compact for me presently. You can also cut back plants to make them smaller and bushier.
Malaguetas are one of my favorites too. They may not be as hot as you're looking for but very bushy and productive.

Thanks for all the answers, folks. I've got a grow light that I'm going to bring up here after the break, and my window faces East.
The reason I decided on Choc. Hab's is that they are my personal favorite....but I'd be happy with about anything. Perhaps Bahamian goat peppers or scotch bonnets would be good. As for the naga / bhut, that's more for the novelty.

My plan is to grow them through the semester, and take them home at the end of May when I (whew!) will be done with my first of two on-campus years.

If anyone knows of a good source of seeds like this, please let me know. You can PM me or post it here. If someone sends me seeds, I'll happily send them pods when the plants are producing.

Thanks for the input.

Josh
