seeds new seed question

I've been wanting to start some seeds for under my HID and there's a couple varieties i have outside I'd like to restart. How long do the seeds have to dry before i can germinate them? Can you just do it right out of the pod?

Really! Thanks man i might have something up my sleeve for winter time if all goes well.
Mike, with what you got growing, you'll have plenty for up your sleeves, your pant legs, your pockets and your closets!

I like to let my seed pods get mostly dry on the plant.

Then I know they are absopositlutely ripe and ready seeds.

But then, I have fairly limited sprouting setup, so the better the germination rate, the better for me.

Makes sense to let them ripen all the way.
