review Nigel`s New Reviews - 2020 edition

Ok friends and colleagues, I guess I'm back. I`ll pause for all the blaspheming and puking at this point.................

After a few years of life getting in the way, I will be doing more reviews later this summer. I have a number lined up that I expect to light me up like Christmas at the North Pole. I've hardly had anything hotter than a habanero in maybe 3 years. Ouch in advance!

If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know and I`ll see if I can find it.

I truly wish everyone on THP has been well and growing splendidly, as I would expect.

FI-NAL-LYYYY!!!!!
I so miss your next review, Nigel! A lot of my seed acquisitions have been because of your info! Like this year: CGN 22184.....your review was a "possible" in the variety category. Not totally sure what that peach Frutescens was, but I've got one (an actual 22184) this year!!!

Awesome!!!!
 :woohoo:

Cool. Always love your reviews! Please share a guitar build or two while you're at it.
You got it. I've done quite a few recently and changed careers to be a full time luthier. I trained at a well known repair shop, then left to set up my own shop last year,  specialising in vintage instruments. Current highlights for restoration include; 1850 Ashborn, 1867 Martin, 1924 Martin, 1949 Gibson and 1969 Gibson SG.

FABULOUS!!! :onfire: Great to see ya back Nigel!

I would like to recommend Bhuter's 7-pot Cinder. Kinda like those Brainstrains back in 2014ish ..but much worse

It forced me into early retirement from supers, no bs.
Thanks, bud! I still cringe watching that video (while laughing ).

If you're interested in a post-September superhot to review, Nigel, I have 3 total cinder plants (had 4. Sold 1 to bpiela), 2 are from my seeds saved from last year and one is from Sandra Tipton's (fiogga) seeds saved from last year. All F5
Also have Black Naga x Peri-Peri F3 (but they are very Frutescens-forward.......up to and including falling off the stem and getting mushy before ripening with plasticky skins.) Those won't travel unless sent green.
Those little Brown F2's do something to the flavor of chili. Nothing new. More like comfortable. Exactly as, "This is chili and this is what it's supposed to taste like." I made some tonight! (Mild in my old age. 2 Naga x Peri pods and 1 jal. Lol)
But, that's just MY take on it.
So happy you're back!

Maybe start out with something not so terribly hot like Zapotec jalapeno, Numex Orange Spice or a rather nice rocoto like Aji Oro. I did not think the AJi Oro was very hot but the Numex i sampled was brutal for a jalapeno. Aji Oro was the most "fruit like" pepper i ever tasted. Just fantastic flavor.

Too late, already have a pound of habaneros to munch on, and a few scotch bonnets.
