raised-bed Opinions and experiences with raised beds

I've had really good luck with raised beds. They work great as far as weed control, drainage, etc. I've got a couple sizes. Would probably suggest 10 in deep, 15-18 in wide and spacing plants about the 15-18 in apart. I've done them closer, 12 in, together but had better luck with a little more space. There is a book called square foot gardening that has a lot of good info about space constrained gardening in raised beds.
