Orange Manzano gave up the ghost...

Germinated 5 seeds ok....lost 3 to helmet head.. made 2 transplants to Solo cup ...few weeks later one turned yellow slowly and whithered away. Another ten days later and my one and only green plump manzano yellowed and whithered away also DAMN...dissapointing to say the least.

They didnt like the direct Sun, so I had them in partial shade. Didn't seem to matter though...slow death in the shade also.


All the rest of my peppers are in the same potting soil and doing great. Bad seed? Dunno.....

I'm gonna try some more seed..getting hard to find.

Any tips on germinating and growing these? Really want to make it happen.

Thanks hooda. I'm interested in all types Rocoto or Manzano. I'm in Zone 9 Texas and intend to get something in Pubescens brewing here.

Anyone do business with Seed Savers Exchange. They have red rocoto seeds available.
