Well, more Cross Country's than mine, actually.

If you look at the lowest peppers on the left, you can see clearly that there are two peppers coming out of the same node. The veins at the juncture of the pedicel aren't tooth-like, either.


So, I'm guessing Aji Limon and Limon are two different varieties, and that the one I grow is C chinense.

Ya, that looks like a C. chinense. The chinense is Limon and the Baccatum Is Aji limon or Peru Yellow. I'm growing the Baccatum this year for the first time.

I can't take credit, since I only want one, it's one of the ones I buy from Cross Country every year.

To reference the blossom pinching thread, this pepper went into the ground the first week of May, and I pinched buds for the first week or ten days. It's now the end of May, and it has at least a dozen green peppers on a plant that's barely a foot high. You can see why I wanted it to put a little more energy into root and stem production, and why I'm not worried about the total number of peppers I'm going to get.

The ripe peppers look so much alike, and the names are so similar that I thought it was possible that they were the same pepper. Limon is one of my very favorites, but now I have the itch to try an Aji Limon!
