We had a few days of warmer weather which kicked started some of the pods to ripening (FINNALY). Here’s some pics for you all to enjoy! Feel free to discuss and ask any questions.

Are those wild Brazil a close cousin of wild tepin chillies from Mexico?
Nope, different species (Annum vs Chinense). But they sure do like alike at first!

We have a fungus among us!

How do those ground cherries taste?
Not that great, mushy and papery.....what? you're not supposed to eat the husk?

Actually, they taste pritty good. Slightly sweet with a hint of tartness. Imagine a tomato crossed with a cherry and you got the flavor.

I also love the tortex pick! I use the same ones....but I stick with the blue or purple.

Yep, Kirk Hammet of Metallica was the person responsable for my addiction to that pick. 0.88 mm, not heavy, but not medium as well. Perfect for both metal, blues, noise, rock and everything in between. I usually go through a pack of them every 6 months. I like to keep them semi fresh, lends alot to tone.
