Certain members here wanted to know about this so here I am posting it. I've been growing a legal pot substitute called Wild Dagga. It's a particularly large, pretty plant that I have four of (most of them in excess of 8 feet tall). I've been harvesting both leaves and flowers for use in smoking. I tried a little before and made the decision that I needed a bong and not a pipe because you need a lot of it smoked to get some effect. Tonight, I made a make shift water bong (I'm one of those handy smokers to have around), and smoked copious amounts with a friend. here are my results.
The leaves smoke very harsh but the flowers have a nice, smooth, sugary quality to them but they don't burn as easy/produce as much smoke as do the leaves. within a few bong rips I started to notice a slight euphoria which got me giddy because I knew it was a sign that the stuff was worth the effort of growing.
Within a half an hour I realized why this was a marijuana substitute. I liken it to a mental slow down equivalent to the pot strain called Trainwreck (those who have enjoyed that strain know what I mean). The gears of my brain grinded to a halt (which was such a nice feeling, my brain doesn't EVER stop talking to me. This gave me such a nice break from that. Complete absence of thought.)
That's really about it. The high is similar to Indica strains of pot minus the heavy couch lock and "out of sorts feeling". You just can't think on this stuff but can still semi function like normal (I would NOT recommend driving). Many a times I got up and instantly forgot what I was doing or why I was standing.
I'm still having trouble and it's been.....wait......ok...see what I mean I can't subtract 10PM from 7PM.....well, however long it's been it's still going. I also highly recommend pairing this with a few beers. Seems to help on some level.
So there you have the first report. I'm going to do some research into extracting this and probably end up doing a much larger dose in a week or two. More reports to come!
