I grew Dwarf Chiltepin from Semillas in 2018. They are very vigorous plants that branch from the second or third row of true leaves.
The picture shows the difference between the two Dwarf Chiltepin and the other peppers.
Thanks for that info, I'm really looking forward to this one.

@Pr0digal_son rounded out my wilds grow with
some Red Tepin and c. Flexuosum seeds. They
will go into the germinator cells tomorrow. Really
looking forward to these…

I started germination of my flexuosum seeds on 26/11. I hope we both end up with at least one plant so we can compare (climate etc) 🙂

@Pr0digal_son, I sourced my flexuosum seeds from Chris Fowler. Do you and Chris share a common source, or are both not related?

I've also got quite a few Flex in germination. Mainly older seeds, some from Chris in the past and a few from other random sources over the years. Should have some fresh ones en-route too.

My hope as well, Dieter! I have had little luck with
the flesuosum the two times I've tried to germinate them.
Maybe third time's a charm. I'm pretty sure these seeds
did not come from Chris Fowler. I'll have to check that out.

All flexuosum seeds originally came from the USDA. And I'm sure his and 99% of others were from those originals until a couple years ago. It seems some have been sold by or traded by Brazilians in recent times and have added to the gene pool.

If my memory is correct, he received seeds from Riku Heikkila some years back and those had a knack for showing anthocyanins on the back of the flower petals in cooler temps. I did in fact grow seeds from his stock for those. From my personal experience, they only showed me this quality while indoor under flourescent light and not while outside. Minerals factor into that, too, not just temps and light.

Hope this helps some. You can't go wrong sourcing from Chris...top man! I am certain he is offering free C.cardenasii seeds with orders now. If he isn't,tell him I said don't be a prick and cough some up.

Thanks for your interest, @Mildfruit. Looks like 19 wilds
in the plan for 2022. I'm sure I won't get to plant out with
that many, but I should have a handful. All the OWs seem
to be hanging in there, new growth on the floor plants under
the table, and lots of growth on the ones under the lights.
