Got given these from a friend, did a quick Google search I think they are Red ball. Unfortunately no pics of the mother plant.

Oh man I love these "What is this?" posts.  Right answer: it could be one of an dozen different things.  It could be a baccatum.  It could be an annuum.  I'll stick with annuum though (calyx is far too fleshy and teeth are not as well-developed).
 
My guesse:  Hot Cherry

How are you able to post a picture that is on your computer?

I use my phone, and use a direct link from my Photobucket account. Then select the add picture icon in the "Reply to this topic" panel (below the smiley face icon) and past the direct link into the box that pops up. Easy....

I asked the same thing.  I got cherry bomb.  That is of course if it is jalapeno+ spicy.

BTW, mine were store bought, so this may be my issue.  I had horrible germ rates.  1/50 probably.  I did manage to get a single plant going though which is all that really matters.

I just had about 6 of these that I had de-seeded in my stir fry dinner and found that they had little to no heat.
