I got given these pods from a friend, no pics of the plants unfortunately. They are presumably the same type of pepper. Big one is 75mm or 3 inches long.

Innards of the big one.

A taste from the tip reveals little to no heat with a Bell pepper flavor and a little sweetness. A taste from the top however, brings on a heat level much like a Cayenne, but still with the same Bell pepper type taste. Very nice indeed, it will definitely make a great snacking pepper.

Anyone know what they are?

Not sure what they are but question: Are you indicating the heat is all in the placenta when you say a bit from the top is hot but not elsewhere?  If so, would love to grow the thing cause I can see some great practical jokes with this one.  Break it in half, much the bottom, hand the top to someone else.
