This is supposed to be a Red Savina Hab. I purchased the plant from CCN, and for some reason it is producing choclate colored pods instead of red. Any ideas on what this might be?
It looks like a Congo black (otherwise known as chocolate hab) but it could be a cross.
I've heard lots of complaints about CCN seeds not being true, especially the red savinas. I think it was Jim Campbell that grew several acres of red savina, and he got pods of every color
looks like a choco hab but god chance it is a cross. I personally don't think they would send a choco hab instead of the savina you ordered....my guess-hybrid.
Well I wanted to grow choclate habs this year, but my seedlings didn't make it. So I guess these will have to do until next season. And I will save seeds from these to grow again next year to see what I get.
