Pepper ID (sorry no pics)

A buddy of mine was working at his friends house last year so I stopped by. The owner of the house had a pepper plant on the porch in a pot. I haven't seen that type before. It was a small bushy plant, maybe 1.5 feet high and just as wide. The branchs felt and looked shrubby. I'm thinking it is Frutescens but wondered what the name is. It was full of tiny peppers growing upright. The are almost as long as a asian birdseye but half the thickness. Not pequins for sure. I'm just wondering because I got a pepper and planted the seeds this year.

Really hard to be sure, but I'm gonna put my money on "Thai Hot." At least that's what they call it at all the nurseries around here. Bushy little fructescens plant covered in little chiles about the size of christmas lights. I had one last year, and am growing 4 this year in a flower border as ornamental/edibles. They're great little fireball snacks while in the garden, and if you string them up to dry, they keep well and make a great curry paste.

Here's a picture I found on the web that looks a lot like mine did last year...
