Pepper inside a pepper, inside a pepper, inside a pepper...

So I was cutting up some of my habaneros, and I started finding small green habaneros inside my orange ones... After 10 or so like that, I cut one open and found one that went further than the others, a pepper, inside a pepper, inside a pepper, inside a pepper.... Here is a link to my drop box with a picture

The one on the far left is a regular habanero, the one in the middle is one with just one small habanero growing in it, the far right one is the strange one... Here is a close up of the strange one

I was just wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this, and if not, then why you think it is happening, thanks.

That's what it looks like to me! That's crazy! Lol

I've seen peppers inside of peppers (bell peppers) many times but never a pepper inside a pepper inside a pepper (not that I've looked).

I am so glad I saw this post, I had the same thing when I cut into some of my freshly picked orange Hab's last week. I started thinking maybe I was going crazy or something as I had never heard of such a thing. I have been trying to find out what causes this to happen since then without much luck so far.

When i first picked it it did seem rather dense, and now I can see why... oh well, it's hotsauce now... I'm glad to know my plants aren't the only ones producing peppers In peppers, thanks for the input

I hope you looked for some seeds before you sauced it ... That might be a genotype for the offspring of the seeds.  :hot:

I've had several pepper in peppers with carrot hab's before but nothing like that!! It almost seems to be a genetic fault in Habs..

All being said that was a CRAZY pod !! Congrats on the find!
