Anyone know if freshly ground pods lose their heat factor if not sealed up in a jar or baggie etc ?

I think it's reasonable to expect a degradation of quality in general if steps are not taken to properly contain any perishable. Cheers.

I would think it's preferable to protect the powder in a glass/plastic container that has a lid. Moisture could get in otherwise, in addition to experiencing a shorter shelf life.

Sure, they'll lose heat, flavor and color. My powders are kept sealed in a glass shaker in the fridge.
