pepper sprout, or grass?

planted a few thai bird's eye pepper seeds in this pot, this thing was the first thing to pop up out of the soil, was it just a weed or grass the got mixed into the dirt? or do bird's eye plants have different sprouts from habaneros?

Nutes is just another term for nutrients, AKA fertilizer.

the soil looks sandy and dry. might want to consider putting saran wrap over the top or something to make a "humidity dome" type of gimmick. maybe even get yourself some seed starting soil or pellets.

Phil, I hate to tell you this, but you have pepper sprouts growing in your grass pots.
 
PS what is that medium? looks nice and loose for germinating.
