How much Perlite should I add to a 25L Potting Mix + 10L Coir mix? Reckon 5L should be sufficient?

Also, if I'm planning to achieve longer moisture retention, I should probably add a layer of mulch on the surface, yeah? What's a good mulch and how thick should the layer be?

Should be heaps i reckon.

Sugar cane mulch seems the norm About an inch to two.
