pink seeds

can anyone help me with what this pepper should be like that i got in a trade. they called them elephant ears and the seeds are pink. if you have any info i'd love to hear from you--thanks all---bob

Its likely thiram, a fungicide that makes them pink.

Sometimes they are died differtent colors to help sellers keep track of them.

I'm growing them also,I have some seeds that are green.A lot of Canadian seed appear to have this coating.I recall our seed corn back in the day was colored also.

I believe the seller put some chemicals on the seeds to protect seeds against fungus, virus.
