pollinated melon

How can you see if a melon flower is pollinated? What happens when it isn't pollinated?
Some have reallly grown, but most of them are still very small, because of the cold weather.
They are in the greenhouse, so I pollinate by hand.

Melons and gourds usually form the fruit behind the flower. After pollination the area where the flower attaches to the stem will elongate and fatten up.

Wait a little while and you will start to see these. And be gentle with them when they actually start to grow, they pop off really easy.
