Pollination to Full size pod, how long have you experienced

From pollination to full size pod, how many days average have you seen?

I have bunch of peppers that I started very late, and the flowers are popping open today/tomorrow

I'm going to help the pollination, manually with q-tip and cross pollinate some varieties for my pepper breeding test.


I'm mostly concerned about my Bhut Jolokia, and my Brown Bhut.


I'm just looking at the season and want to make sure outdoors is the best place to keep my plants if it starts getting colder.

I would say 4-6 weeks, but it can vary on temps plant size etc.

ok thanks.. looks like I am bringing my plants inside under lights to finish this year.

next year I'm starting early... especially with these overwintered plants.

4-6 weeks sounds about right, keep in mind you can very easily ripen chinenses off the plant though once they reach full size.
