Bootsieb Dec 18, 2011 #1 Why don't we Chilians call Powder -> Podder? It is made from Pods after all.
ajijoe Dec 18, 2011 #4 if your PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH like me it can sound like that when we pronounce it due to the German accent i myself do not have the accent, but have many friends who do and that's what it sounds like we say it actually the English word POWDER is derived from the Latin word POLVAR which means to grind into a fine dust like substance our word PULVERIZE is a direct derivative of POLVAR the fact that it sounds like POD is only coincidental i hope this helps oh also i got the seeds today thanks so much!! your friend Joe
