pests Prevention of bugs on my plant??

Well I just put my plant out side for the past couple days and over night I believe I have a slug problem. I wake up and see chunks missing from my ghost pepper plant. How can I make this stop. An no I haven't seen the bug yet.

You can set a small pan out filled with beer and they'll drown themselves in it.

try putting a strip of duck tape around your buckets... But if their in ground just lay some on the ground around the stock...
