Prices on Garden supplies

Has anyone noticed a hike in the price of garden supplies? Mainly Seed starting kits and potting soil. At Wal-Mart in Hillsdale Michigan it is 8.00 a bag for Miracle Grow Organic Choice potting soil. The peat pellet seed starting kits are 6.00. I never paid that much before and was wondering if anyone else noticed and that I ain't crazy.

supply/demand. You would think they would hold the prices to last years but with gardening growing by leaps and bounds due to food prices rising they can get more this year.
