Bought a few small bales (.5 cu ft) of Pro Mix (not BX) Growing Mix at the Depot for $2.30 each, on Friday. Went back today and they were $1.00 each! $10.00 for 5 cu ft (compressed) is a pretty good deal in my book. Did a side by side comparison on these and the BX and the biggest difference seems to be that the BX has a wetting agent - ferts, mycorrhizae, limestone - it's all there. For those interested, give your local HD garden dept. a call and see if they have stock...
