When the cat is away the mice will play?

Sorry it has been a long time guys/gals, but I'm alive and well. Still growing the 7Pot Primo and doing R&D....

A few weeks ago we visited a lawyer about my options with the 7 Pot Primo/Primo's Peppers LLC.

I don't believe in patenting plants, and have always been generous, but hell..... Lot of people are making money on the 7Pot Primo and I ZERO. Now,
I'm reading about a new world's hottest pepper with strange similarities?! hmmmm I have to do something.

I now have a f7, will be testing it, launching my official site (mother seed), etc...

It's really an honor that this pepper went this far....but also heartbreaking. If this is truly my pepper, it will be
a huge let down for me. Wonder, if DNA testing would reveal any truth? Checking with the University today...

Rock on,

Primo

Armac,

Yes I am the creator. Troy Primeaux aka Primo. Family issues and a journey back into Rock n roll has kept me away....
Anyway, I'm back.

Primo

Lafayette Louisiana. Was one (if not the first in America) to offer the Dorset Naga. I obtained a set from the UK (one of five).
This was years and years ago... Made a mark for myself selling those seeds and powders before anyone really knew
what a Naga was. Right place, right time.

Rock,

Primo

I'll post some pics later.

I'm confused after reading this..

if we are talking about a new entry soon to be scoville chart Guinness World Records hybrid pepper king champ
I guess we wonder why/wait for it to actually happen and talk about it then?

if this is a joke.. this is the longest most confusing trolol spam joke I have ever encountered..& don't get it.

Sure thing Jim..... Emailing you now.

Rock on,

Primo

Heard how the Primo started around here but never knew it was a member. Good to have you back sir,all the best with your endeavor.

Thanks brother... Appreciate the welcome. You can actually thank Chris Phillips for naming the pepper. By the way, is Chris still around here?
I sent him seeds years ago.... He liked them so much, he named them Primo after my screen name/nick name with the southern rock band
I play for.... SANTERIA. So, I was never egotistical enough to name it after myself, but in time the name stuck. I kept developing the pepper,
and over the years found it to be way hotter than any of the Naga's or other 7 Pots. I knew this pepper was special. I guess time has validated
my notion.

Peace.

Primo

Right on!! You guys are making my day. It's always been about credit for me. Hell, even in music....we get bootlegged often, but at least the message is getting out. Times are hard for a lot of folks. Anyway, I have tons of pictures and really need to update my facebook account and profile here. I'll have to give Chris a shout too. So, thanks again brother. I

Hey, I'll be sure to go through pictures tonight. You all inspire me... Been making music too long. Forgot about the pod-love. Rock on!!

if the pepper is that bad ass people will want it regardless. finding the right price is the question to high you price alot of people out. to low and you dont cover all the costs and the papper work. once members try the peppers the word will get around if its worth the price. either way look forward to seeing a new king for a while.

primo do you have a web site where you sell your peppers. would like to buy a couple to try.

Judohero..... Working on the official site now. I agree, the name, the reputation, the great pepper, etc.... all factor into selling it.
When the Dorset Naga came out, I literally made $4000 on a $40 investment. Had I had
the infrastructure, I would have made way more.... The Naga was unheard of. I was handing out seed at the Austin Hot Sauce Festival, and folks
like Tears of Joy and others were unaware. Still, be it music or peppers, I've enjoyed the ride and have gotten off on the credit. In the end,
we all shall die.... Hopefully a long time from now. Yet, what will we truly be remembered for? Can't take it to the grave. I would rather leave
a musical/pepper legacy for future generations. Really. I would.

Primo, your real? It's good to meet you sir. glad you came back to THP. The 7primo was one of my top5 most wanted seeds last year and I'm real happy to be growing it this year. Sounds like you've been away from the pepper world for awhile.. Well, I'm sure you have noticed alot has changed in the superhot world lol. if your interested in growing some of the new supers out there let me know this fall, I'd be glad to put a care package together.

To the whole community,
ALL of this entire thread is really just.. "talk" obviously but here's my questions on the whole primo deal. I have tried it personally, YES, it is freaking hot. Was it the hottest I've tried. No.. Obviously there's a million variables and factors involved in each pod, where it's grown, how, yadda yadda. Hypothetically speaking, if the HP22B is truely a 7primo, and possibly the new record holder..

1. Wouldn't there be a huge amount of people, and members of course, claiming it's one of the hottest pods they have tried? I've seen my share of people and members chile testing primos and I've yet to ever hear "It's the hottest pepper I've ever had" I've frequently heard/read that quote from people trying 5 different superhots, none of them being the 7pot primo.. Not saying it's not an amazing pepper at all, I just think if it happened to be world record breaking heat, we would have heard that quite a few times by now.

2. I too have seen Ed's FB page, read it, saw the photos, I've watched Ted try the pods on video, etc.. This is just my opinion of course, but the guy does not by any means seem like he's out to start a bunch of controversy. Nor does he seem like his ultimate goal in life is to be the record holder(like some growers I know) It could be all a front but really.. who does that? Especially in the chile community, sorry but there's just as much drama surrounding the ol' "who has the hottest!" as there is on Jersey Shore. It's pretty dumb if you ask me.

3. If it is infact a 7pod primo. Why would he name it something else when all you would have to do is a DNA test to find out if the guy is full of shit? I'm sorry but if I was Ed, or anyone shooting for the hottest, the last thing your gonna do is re-name a pre existing pepper, claim it to be yours, have your name printed on 5billion guiness books, all the while hoping that someone doesn't genetically prove your full of shit and you look like a complete jackass for the rest of your life.

4. I've seen 100s of photos of 7Primos grown in dozens of climates and states. I've seen a few dozen photos of the HP22B. Yes they do look similar. Along with 100s of other superhot varieties. Personally I've never seen a 7pod primo as bumpy and knarly looking as some of the HP22B pictures.

I'm not saying it isn't a primo, but if I had to make a bet.. My money would be on the fact that it is indeed.. Not the 7Pod Primo.

Just my 2 cents ladies n gents.

Brandon

I scored some primos last year that were hotter than anything ive ever tried. They were like fricken poisen!!!! I recently lost all my primos to shitty weather but am starting a new batch now...... Hey Primo if your needing any seeds and want to trade seeds off that mother plant I would love some bro...(or sell some)
ZoMbiE.....

7 pod/pot sr....... Who here hasn't gone googoo for "brain strain" peppers? The proof is in threads here but people fail to delve! How much money has changed hands for seed,or pod of brain strain? Everyone wants to do it for the "hobby",or "mankind". All ethics go out the door when there is a penny to be made. Most people who have invented or created have died penniless! I'm not saying this pepper is a primo. I am saying that the "renaming" game has,and will gone on forever.
