Pubes? ;-)

This will be my first season growing pubescens - CAP 1492 to be exact, wish me luck! Anything special I should think about?

MM: Hmmm, maybe I should have waited a few months. I have a lot of room outdoors, not so much indoors... Ahh, no GF and no dog - I'll make room!

IGG: Thanks!

Pubescens never grow well for me but I recommend starting them early, and then overwintering next winter. I also found that the ones I grew prefered filtered light to direct sun but I know others have had success in full sunlight.

I had two manzanos last summer, one the clone of the other.

I planted one in full sun, one in the shade.

The plant in full sun had two flushes of fruit during the growing season, the one in shade was just flowering as frost came in Oct. and made no fruit.

My experience may be the exception and not the rule.
