Pubescens

Anyone here in a climate that has pretty varying temperatures (ie. Melbourne, can get to 0 centigrade in winter, and upwards toward 42+ in summer) that has grown pubescens?

After doing a little reading, it seems that some people here in Melbourne have successfully grown pubescens outdoors all year round, without cutting back or taking inside. Sounds like a winner to me, just looking for some first hand experience, and which particular chillis within the pubescen range is the way to go.

The yellow Rocoto looks alright, the red is obviously grown a lot, but what else is there?

well im in sydney and during winter we rarely get temps lower than 4 degress and it can get higher than 40 degress in summer. ive currently got orange rocoto going at the moment and they are growing very fast despite the low temps and low light levels. havent tried growing pubescens in warmer months so will be an interesting outcome later this year.
