seeds Public Seed Libraries!

Got these from the local Seed Bank via the public library.  They have three varieties of hot chilies (lukewarm by THP standards!), plus dozens of other veggies.

All they ask is that you insure that a few blossoms are self-pollinated and return those pods / seeds at  the end of the season.

Check your local library, or search for similar projects in your city!

Here's a list of similar projects. http://www.library.pima.gov/seed-library/#sister

The 'Hatch Hot' seeds arrived today at my local branch!

I'm not sure exactly what these are, given that 'Hatch' is basically a meaningless marketing label.
I'm guessing they might be Lumbre, which are around 10K SHU.

These will soon be growing alongside a bunch of other SW varieties, including: 6-4 Heritage, Barkers Hot, Big Jim, Santa Fe Grande, Fatali, multiple Cayenne flavors, and the Chili de Arbols that arrived the other day.

(To say nothing of the ~dozen SuperHots graciously donated by Impending Bending, several of which that are already starting to fruit.)

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH ALL THESE FREAKING PEPPER PLANTS?!?!?

I also got a few 'Friends of the Library' recycled shopping GROW bags, similar to the 'Wallybags,' for a buck each.
