eXtreme Business
Greetings, Chileheads!

After our recent Northwest Chilefest weekend, I ended up with some of the extra chiles, so I decided to make some chile puree (AlabamaJack style) and whip up a one-off hot sauce and sell them for charity.

The charity I've chosen to support is Step Up For Charity, a charity started by pioneer chilehead Jim Campbell (founder of Jim's Mild To Wild Pepper and Herb Co.).

Up for sale are sets of 1 puree and 1 sauce. I have 22 sets. I've decided to offer the sets for sale for a minimum of $16 per set and people are encouraged to donate more. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to foot the bill for all of the shipping and bottles. So out of each sale, I will keep $8 to cover shipping/bottles, all the rest of whatever people pay will go to Step Up For Charity. More details after the pics.

I separated all the chiles by color.

Hot stuff SalsaLady---I will take a set and want the Coco stuff.

If I like them---which I am sure to do---will you make more next month?
Then I can give a little more to your favorite charity because I will be getting SS then and can afford a little more. The government is good for something even if they are betting we will croke by 78. I don't really give a damn as long as I can go with a pepper in my mouth and salsa on my belly---they can worry about the rest---hahajha

Thanks for the replies, I have yours Barbabyras and Balac.

I'm working on pictures for those who have trouble loading pages with a lot of images.

Here's a link to the photobucket album where they are stored if that helps-

Maybe I should of waited until the first of the month to post this... I'm self employed, I never get a paycheck, so I forget about those things.

thanks Aaron, I got your order, Chocs or Reds puree?

a couple smaller pics, maybe they'll load better-

chocs it is! Thanks!

Hi, everyone,

I've been out in the kitch making pickled peppers out of 50 pounds of jalapenos. Just getting back online. Thanks for the orders that have come in!

Here's a description of the sauce from Jerret (HeatAddicts)-
"we had (nmorris279) over and we made up some shrimp. sautéed the shrimp with a home made chile powder then tossed in your sauce that you had sent. wow! what a combo. im liking this sauce. the bottle is half gone in one meal. pear flavor at first but peach overpowers quickly. i then get that typical yellow pepper flavor but don't at all loose the sweetness from the fruit. complimented the shrimp very well. nick agrees that this stuff pairs well with shellfish. had a bit on some chicken as well and went well there too. moderate heat level. 7-8. and great flavor. 8-9."

I'll be sending out the first orders tomorrow.

THANKS AGAIN!

UPDATE- only 1 chocolate puree left!

First orders are on the way!

barbabyras, got the repeat! You have the last chocolates puree on the way, along with some other goodies for the swabbies.

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much to everyone who has ordered. Several other orders have come in, but there are more available! I'll do a count in the morning.

Thanks for supporting Jim's charity. Dammit, I wanted chocolate, but couldn't get paypal to work on my Ipad, so red it is!
