Greetings, Chileheads!
After our recent Northwest Chilefest weekend, I ended up with some of the extra chiles, so I decided to make some chile puree (AlabamaJack style) and whip up a one-off hot sauce and sell them for charity.
The charity I've chosen to support is Step Up For Charity, a charity started by pioneer chilehead Jim Campbell (founder of Jim's Mild To Wild Pepper and Herb Co.).
Up for sale are sets of 1 puree and 1 sauce. I have 22 sets. I've decided to offer the sets for sale for a minimum of $16 per set and people are encouraged to donate more. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to foot the bill for all of the shipping and bottles. So out of each sale, I will keep $8 to cover shipping/bottles, all the rest of whatever people pay will go to Step Up For Charity. More details after the pics.
I separated all the chiles by color.
Assorted chocolates, all hot to superhot, for puree-
Assorted red chiles, mostly shot/superhots, with a couple red jalapenos, for puree
A few yellow superhots for a hot sauce-
Puree Ingredients- chiles, vinegar, salt (no agave) 2 oz/ 59ml
Hot Sauce Ingredients- pears, peaches, apples, onion, yellow pods, vinegar, sugar, salt, ginger, spices 5 oz/ 148ml
Bottles will be properly labeled when shipped, both products were processed in a licensed kitchen, pH on the sauce is 3.72 and the puree was pressure canned.
Here's how it works-
Go to paypaland do a "Send Money" to tchotsauce@methow.com
Enter your donation (minimum $16, but please send more if you can afford it)
Click "Send"
Eazy-Peazy!
The first ones to send money have the choice of chocolate chile puree or red chile puree. Come back here and post your choice. Make sure I know who you are on paypal, so if you want to keep your name private, send me your choice and name via PM.
When it's all over I'll post a snapshot of the donation to Step Up For Charity to let y'all know how much was raised for this great chilehead charity.
Thanks for everyone's support!
