is it normal...??? i harvested all of them from 2 plants.. all have no heat.. thought it might of been a dud.. but nope 5-6 with no heat i tasted....great flavor but no heat.... possible cross with FOOL YOU jals??

they ripen to red is my understanding. so maybe you picked them TOO early
just take some brain pieces and place them inside, they will then be hot

Yea the Jalaps im growing were from seeds of some hot Jals and None have heat and yea I picked them when red but No heat maybe its just because there not stressed
Jalapenos even if you got a hot variety are located at around 3000 SCU and most of the heat is located at the placental tissue.
If you remove this I don´t know a Jalapeno that can be called hot.
Just compare it with a standard orange Habanero that will be around 150-200 times hotter
