Purple Thunder / Bhut Jolokia x (PdN x Bonda Ma Jacques)

I have decided to start a dedicated Grow Log for
the Purple Thunder Bhut Jolokia hybrid.

It made its first appearance in 2015:
"This coloration might be the result of the intense
light on these red Bhuts, but only 2/6 show the trait.
If it is a cross, the only purple-y plant near the bhut
was Trippa's Mystery Cross. All of these seeds from
the same pod:"

Oops. My Purple Thunder Mystery F4 is definitely not
going to give me the gnarly red pods that the F3 produced.
Haven’t tried one, yet, but am sure they are scorchers. Not
bad looking pods, but a bit disappointed they didn’t turn out
like the pods on the F4 @Downriver grew last season. Oh well.

The Purple Thunder BJh-3 still has a chance to come through.
A few more gnarly pods forming, maybe several on the plant.
Not a great season for that one. Hopefully I get a ripe pod or
two for seeds.

Those were the pods I was hoping for, Rick.

Glad to see your line is carrying on true!

Sorry to hear that. My PT F3 orange took forever
to set pods due to lousy Spring weather, and has
finally set a bunch, but not as big as the F2 version,
and probably too late to get many ripe ones. My PT
BJh 'Mystery' Red threw blocky yellow pods instead
of bumpy, gnarly smokey red pods like @Downriver's.
It produced a bunch, though. Will post a pic of the
second round of pods in a bit.

This plant has decided to be productive.
Got a nice pull yesterday, still more to come.

Oops, should be F4, not F3.
