Quail Manure

Anybody ever used quail tath for soil amendments? I've been offered a couple of large bags (40~50 lbs) of relatively fresh quail poo. What I'm wondering is if it's as hot as chicken dung, which would burn a plant when it's fresh. Of course I'm going to fecundate the garden with it at some point, I'm delighted to have it plopped on me. I'm just not stercorated with it before.

Why, yes, I did have my thesaurus out this morning, why do you ask?

I dont know stick yer finger in it. I would probably let it cool before I'd use it then....

Sorry my thesaurus isnt here and I felt the need to dumb down the thread

I havent used it but I found this info:
Quail poop is like brown gold for your garden. It’s low on odor and isn’t very messy to deal with. Shovel up your excess quail manure each week and move it to a garden manure bin to age until it breaks down before using it on plants. It is high in nitrogen, and when fresh, it can burn plants. In the heat of the summer, if the manure does emit much odor, a light covering of lime will eliminate it and sweeten the pile.

After reading about it some more it is higher in Nitrogen than chicken and like I always say "if its free...then its for me!"

I would let it compost for a bit first however.
