powder-flake question on pepper powders & seeds

I was just curious if anyone knew---if one stored seeds in packages that had recently had pepper powders in them, if it would would affect the seeds if they were of different variety ????? Probably a dumb question--it was just a thought that popped in my head.

Nope. Won't hurt them. And the different varieties part doesn't matter. They only cross through pollinating the flowers. Not the seeds so your fine.

As others have said, you'll be fine there. I personally prefer envelopes for my seed storage though, wicks away moisture.

Thanks everyone !!! Seems the concensus is in. Like I said it was just a thought that popped into my head. Maybe my question will be of help with others if the same thoughts cross their mind. The paper envelopes make sense. I end up using what I have and go from there (go green and recycling or just to thrifty....LOL).
