My hydro-system is sucking up 2-3 gallons/day right now and I suspect it is going to get much higher. My tap water is >400ppm. Does anyone know if the garden hose RV filters will get it to 200 or lower?. Any other thoughts?
Filters only remove suspended solids, not dissolved solids. So a filter will not change ppm. A small R/O system (>$100) will give you <20 ppm water and is the best way to go.
