Raccoon in kitchen

I am a newbie to this forum. I live with my husband and daughter. I am a housewife. Yesterday, I went to the market. Since I was in a hurry, I forgot to shut kitchen window properly. When I reached the home, I was shocked to see the condition of my house. A squirrel entered the kitchen via the window and messed up the entire kitchen. I immediately informed (link removed). They captured the raccoon. I cleaned the kitchen along with my daughter. It ate most of the food items in the kitchen and opened the garbage in the kitchen. I dont know what all things it did inside the kitchen while I was away from home. It scratched the packed food and I guess it might have tried to eat the food in the cooking vessels because it was almost half open. I am worried about the hygienic condition of my house. Even though I have cleaned it, I think a home kitchen inspection must be good. Do you think so? Do I need to hire any kitchen cleaning services? Anyone had a similar experience like me?

raccoons are pests for sure.  i  had a few break into my camp and gorged them selves for acouple of weeks.

3% bleach solution works well to clean, Ive used teatree oil also, just spray/wipe it on to the areas. Wouldn't touch any food the coon might have gotten to.

Lemme comprehend this...

Squirrel breaks in.

Does an alien face hugger on your food.

Turns into a psycho raccoon.

And you're worried about hygien.

If I were you.

I'd go straight to the Emergency Room.

Get a chest x-ray done pronto!

And have a team of space doctors surrounding you for the next 48 hours.

That can capture the alien.

When it bursts from your chest!

mrs. blues dog Trouble.

She will lick a Texas toad.

And loves the squirrel that barks and taunts her every day.

She just wants to play.

Possums will play dead.

And that would upset her.

Raccoons.

I'll keep Trouble away.

Raccoons are nothing more than thugs.

That want to break in and f**k your shit up.

With rabies.

And teeth and claws.

I'd rather deal with a porcupine.

And I have many times.

Cuteness.

But they have a habit of liking rubber and plastic.

To chew on.

Then its into the trashcan with a lid on it.

And I relocate your butt to parts unknown.

Any critter where food is prepared is a bad thing.  And yet, millions of people let cats free range their home.  Thinking cleaning with a disinfectant is fine. If you are having an inspection for a commercial purpose, I would double extra check where ever food is stored.

I have two cats and they spend more time in the kitchen than anywhere else. They don't get on tables and counters, though.

I'd use a strong Vinegar solution and spray the place up. I was at a meat packing plant the other day and I was surprised to find the whole place smells of vinegar. They were using vinegar to sanitize the trailers for sure...

So none of you noticed this was a spammer with a link?

Even his cut and paste changed from racoon to squirrel.
