Some of you may have heard of this, but,if Pinocchio said"My nose will grow now.",it would cause a paradox.

Let me explain,as we all know,Pinocchio's nose does grow when he lies.

So,if he said"My nose will grow now "-if his nose grows it would mean that he wasn't lying, but,if he wasn't lying then his nose wouldn't grow, which would make his statement a lie,so,his nose would grow, but, then the statement wouldn't be a lie,so,his nose wouldn't grow.

You get the idea.

Basically Pinocchio's nose would have to grow in order to make his statement true, but, then it can't grow, because he didn't lie.

The "Pinocchio Paradox"was thought of in February of 2001 by an 11 year old named Veronique Eldridge-Smith.

Wouldn't his nose not grow now, making him a liar, and then once that's verified it grows a moment later?

Depending on what now means though the paradox could still work.
True.

When I first read about the paradox a few years ago,I racked my brain over and over again on possible solutions.

Ended up getting a headache.

Still a cool little tidbit though.

He quit drinking on the spot, but McKagan himself claimed that his (now former) drinking habit had become immortalized in the series as Homer's favorite beer, though some in the Simpsons team refute this.
