Reaper vs Primo, eating them both.

So I have been wanting to do a comparison between the Primo and the Reaper.  Thanks to Pex, and ItBurns who got peppers from Bakers Peppers, I have the opportunity.  My friend Pat Wallen and I each ate a half of a Reaper tonight. Here is the pod and the aftermath.

It has a nice fruity flavor.  The heat hit me pretty hard and faster than I expected, but did not last nearly as long as I thought.  Within about ten minutes it was a dull heat.  Twenty minutes it was gone.  It hit the sides of my tongue and the back of my throat the most.  If I had to compare it to the heat of another superhot, it would be naga morich.  The Butch Ts and Morugas I have had were much hotter.

Wish I  could have sent ya more of em bro but that's all I had. Glad ya finally get the chance to test the theory of yours.
 
Well since you asked, I think it might have been the worst single stomach cramp ever from a pepper.  I was already in my boxers and t-shirt on the couch when it hit about three hours after consumption.  I went to the bathroom and began to sweat more than I ever have before.  I was not even close to evacuation at this point, but I was begging for it to be over.  Heather said, should I take pictures of THIS and post for your friends.  About ten minutes of writhing and moaning and it subsided a bit.  I went back to the couch were I found it felt best if I laid directly on my stomach and didn't move.  I felt another wave about a half hour later, but it was not as bad as the first.  Well now it is about 3am and the pepper is making its final descent, about ten hours after consumption.   I have felt this way before, but only from extract.  Note to self, next time make sure you eat something besides hot wings before trying this.
 
I am not saying it isn't hot going in, because it sure is.  I think it may be that it is a small pepper and the quantity of it makes it seem that it is not as hot as the others I mentioned.  I had the same experience with the Brain strain.  Because it was so much smaller it didn't seem as hot to me as the Douglah that I ate the same day.  Of course if you have equal sized pieces and compare than it may be another story.  For purposes of this comparison, I am going to eat the same sized Primo as the Reaper was.  All that being said, I don't know that anything ever hurt my gut more than that first cramp session last night.
 
I decided to give my stomach a rest for the night.  Will be trying the Primo (again)  either today or tomorrow, not sure yet.
 
Nice job JayT and your friend too. He looks like he got rocked. Is the flavor everything it's hyped up to be? I know a lot of people say it's an awesome fruity tasting pepper. Man an you got stomach cramps from only a half a small one....I funking hate stomach cramps....make my mouth swell or my eyes bleed before you give me stomach cramps....PRIMO time..lol
