preservation Regarding pickling...

...does the flavour improve over time?

I'm thinking to pickle some Bishop's Crowns tomorrow, but find them perfectly bland and am
hoping that they'll improve in the solution. If I'm on the wrong track here, please save me the hassle...! ;)

Also, does anyone pickle superhots? I just popped a gorgeous pickled peppadew in my mouth and started wondering if anyone does the same with the big boys, like Bhut Jolokia? :shocked:
 
I pickle many types of peppers and you can change the flavor by adding spices and other veggies like garlic or onions, or add a few hotter peppers to the bishop's crown for added heat
 
Yeah, I have half gallon jars of pickled nagas as well as Datils, Habs and Fataliis. I use them as well as the white vinegar from the jar for making sauce, cooking and as a side dish.
