Representing... Idaho

I'm not in the same league as many here, but sure appreciate the chance to learn. I'm mostly just a 5K-Scoville kind of guy seeking to maximize Jalapeno harvest as the wife-unit pickles them tremendously well.

I do enjoy reading about you cats in the Super Hot range, but mostly I will live vicariously there.

I've been small plot gardening long time but this is the first attempt startin peppers indoors. Trial runs under the lights with some Thai Hots (think these are actually Siling Labuyo) and some Jalapeno M going well. Also have 10 various pepper plants overwintering in the house, first time trying that also. (Dad-gum fungus gnats!)

Many, many thanks to those who have already helped me avoid various pitfalls and noobie mistakes by posting your vast knowledge!

Welcome to THP. I also have learned much about my hobby, just by reading the threads and replies. It's all good my friend.

:welcome: from Indiana, time to start building that tolerance. :onfire: :woohoo:

Copy that! But last time (30 years ago) I thought no pepper was a match for me. "Friend" gave me a hab which I ate on a dare. Spent at least 15 minutes on the floor with a distinct vacuum cleaner roar in my head! NOT-ROTFLMHO

But I am taking baby steps. The wife-unit made a stew yesterday and tossed in 4 dried Thai Hot somethings. In my quest for tolerance, I sought them out and comsumed. Nice!

I'm looking forward to learning more about making my own chile powders from the forum, a whole nother level of action.
