scary dwarf pepper

Well my caribbean red experiment has failed mostly.

My fault, I did everything wrong and by the time I discovered where my mistakes were it was too late.

The one plant managed to produce 2 teeny little peppers.

I ate one of them whole for the hell of it thinking that it probably wasn't all that hot.

BIG MISTAKE!

This thing was freakin unbelievable and had me staggering around gasping and choking, hickups, sweating, the whole 9 yards.

I guess the story about the heat from a stressed plant must be true.
This little dwarf was absurdly hot. Hotter than a normal Caribbean red.

OMG it's so cute! my cr hab always had a few smaller pods on it but they usually had a more lanterny shape then that and not as small. that hab is so adorable!
what was the experiment? were you just trying to stress the plant?

No, I just mean it was my first attempt to grow peppers.
I made tons of mistakes. Stressing the plant was the result of ineptitude, not design

Still, I have a whole new batch of plants I just transplanted from my germinator into small pots only yesterday and I'm hoping to avoid a lot of
the pitfalls I encountered my first time.

This time I'm trying Caribbean Red's (again), Naga Morich, and Thai Dragons.

awe, well better luck this time then :) i love that little heart shaped pepper tho!
if you're only doing a couple i find those terra cotta plant waterers are really helpful, they aren't real cheap so i wouldn't do it for more then a couple plants but it takes watering out of your hands.
