My first growing season has kicked of with very promising germination. :onfire:

Thanks for the warm welcome. New to the forums, but been scouring them for info. Lots of folks pictures of beautiful plants on this board. Hopefully all goes well and I will have a great selection of pepper to make sauce with.

I used a friction knot so that I can raise and lower the lights were up for watering, thanks though.
 
Welcome to the forum from Iowa. Great bunch of people here, very informative also. Looks like a great start and a nice list as well. Keep us updated on your progress.
 
good luck his season growing...and good setup...I would recommend staggering your seed planting... i.e. plant slow growing varieties first then the faster growing varieties second...you will find that your annuums will be ready to transplant out of the starter trays within 2-3 weeks and the chinense can/will take as much as 4 weeks before they are ready...this is all based on temperature of germination and your grow area...
 
What a warm welcome!

Staggering is an excellent idea... to late for this year but maybe next. My thai peppers came up quick, but what I didn't expect was many of the habs popping so quickly. I intended to keep a good log of the germination on excel, but school is a bit too much right now and I don't have the time.

Already thinking about potting plants. If I thought lights were a never ending subject... soil advice is even more contradictory.
 
The good news is the peppers are doing well and I am graduating college! The badish news is I took a job on the CO river and won't be around to plant my plants. I'll try to take a few with me, but the rest I will have to give away to my friends.
